About Kristy

I found my passion in becoming a mental health clinician after learning how much of our lives are influenced from the trauma and experiences we endure. Throughout my years of working in the human services field, I have had the opportunity to witness the positive change and growth of people, and have always been amazed at the resilience of humans, even after some of the hardest times. Inspired by this, I set forth on my professional journey to help others understand themselves, heal from their past, and find relief from what has been holding them back. As a therapist, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore many of life’s challenges. I work from a strength-based, trauma and culturally informed lens, and respect the uniqueness each individual brings. I value a holistic approach to therapy and wellness, in that, I draw from various therapeutic approaches to best fit your needs, while looking at and supporting all aspects of you as an individual. I believe in educating you to help foster a better understanding of why you might be experiencing what you are, I work to get to the root of the issue to provide lasting results, and I ensure that throughout this process, you are equipped with tangible skills to help you regulate and cope with what is happening in the present. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach to healing and wellness. My work in human services took me on the journey of being an education assistant in the school system, an early childhood educator assistant in childcare settings, a behavior interventionist, as well as a counsellor in an Indigenous community and in private practice.
