About Kristy

I found my passion in becoming a mental health clinician after learning how much of our lives are influenced from the trauma and experiences we endure. Throughout my years of working in the human services field, I have had the opportunity to witness the positive change and growth of people and have always been amazed at the resillience of humans, even after some of the hardest times. Inspired by this, I set forth on my professional journey to help others understand themselves, heal from their past, and find relief from what has been holding them back. As a therapist, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore many of life’s challenges. I work from a strength-based, trauma and culturally informed lens, and respect the uniqueness each individual brings. I value a holistic approach to therapy and wellness, in that, I draw from various therapeutic approaches to best fit your needs, while looking at and supporting all aspects of you as an individual. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach to healing and wellness. My work in human services took me on the journey of being an education assistant in the school system, an early childhood educator assistant in childcare settings, a behavior interventionist, as well as a counsellor in an Indigenous community and in private practice.

Associate Counsellor

My move to private practice came after a decade in health care and many years in the nonprofit sector. I've had the honour of supporting individuals, couples and families throughout my career and remain inspired everyday by the strength of the human spirit. I have always been interested in Trauma and how it profoundly impacts parenting, addictions, grief, mental health and managing through life's many transitions. I bring a down-to-earth, relatable approach to my counselling practice and believe very much in the ability of people to move through the most difficult times to an eventual place of contentment and ease. It is a gift to walk alongside my clients and I am humbled by the trust they place in me to support them.

About Emily

Since I can remember, I have had a passion for helping others. I have 10 years of experience in various settings in the mental health field and I’ve had the honour of working with adolescents, adults, couples, and famillies heal and create meaningful change. My passion is fueled by witnessing the strength and transformation that takes place in people when they begin to master their trauma and feeling a sense of wholeness. I take a holistic and collaborative approach to help you process and release trauma stored in your body. As a client-centred therapist I believe every human has their own journey and that journey is full of different experiences and these experiences will impact each human differently because no two people are the same. Therefore, I take an integrative approach of other therapies, as I believe everyone is unique and therapy is not "one size fits all." I hold a safe space that is non-judgmental that foster’s a journey filled with compassion, growth, self-awareness and self-discovery. Together we can help untangle your thoughts and feelings, helping you better understand yourself and how your life experiences have impacted you. My goal is to walk with you and help guide you to a peaceful sense of home inside yourself.
